What is the Dr. Patience Tsavnande Foundation?
The Dr. Patience Tsavnande Foundation (DPTF) is a nonprofit organization established in 2020 to continue the legacy of Dr. Patience Tsavnande, who dedicated her life to serving humanity through medical care and support for the vulnerable. The Foundation focuses on healthcare, education, and community welfare programs in Nigeria.
Who was Dr. Patience Tsavnande?
Dr. Patience Selumun Tsavnande was a medical doctor who lived a short but impactful life demonstrating profound humanity through her visits to orphanages and care for patients. She passed away on September 15, 2019, and her dream of assisting the poor continues through this Foundation established by her parents, friends, and colleagues.
Is DPTF a registered organization?
Yes, the Dr. Patience Selumun Tsavnande Foundation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. We are committed to full transparency and accountability in all our operations.

How can I donate to DPTF?

3 Volunteering

How can I become a volunteer?
To volunteer with DPTF, fill out the volunteer application form on our Volunteer page. We review applications within 5-7 business days and will contact you about available opportunities that match your skills and interests.
Do I need medical training to volunteer?
No, not all roles require medical training. While medical professionals are welcome for our outreaches, we also need volunteers for registration, crowd management, logistics, documentation, and administrative tasks. Everyone has something valuable to contribute!

4 Programs

What programs does DPTF run?
Our main programs are: (1) Medical Outreach - free healthcare services in underserved communities, (2) Educational Support - scholarships, prizes for female medical students, and school donations, (3) Food Security - Operation Feed the North program, and (4) Annual Memorial Activities - commemorating Dr. Patience's legacy.
When is the annual memorial event?
Our annual memorial Thanksgiving Mass is held on or around September 15th each year at Holy Family Catholic Church, Barnawa, Kaduna. This commemorates the anniversary of Dr. Patience's passing. All are welcome to attend. Check our website for the exact date each year.
